Telecommunications: Fast broadband in Oxford
Monday, May 10th 2010Oxford has one of the fastest broadband connection speeds in the world, according to Akamai Technologies’ State of the Internet report for the last quarter of 2009. The report examines the connection speeds and levels of broadband adoption of the top 100 fastest cities around the world. Oxford came fifth in the rankings after cities such as Berkeley, California and Masan, South Korea. Nearly half of the top cities are in Japan.
